The May 2025 White Paper proposes lengthening the settlement route toward eight to ten years for some, but that is a proposal under consultation, not enacted law, so we file under the rules in force and flag any change that affects your case.

  • It depends on when you were sponsored and your occupation. The general rule is the higher of the general salary threshold or your occupation going rate, and the figures are updated periodically. Rather than quote a single number that may be wrong for your situation, we check the current threshold and going rate for your job code before advising.

  • The UK is replacing physical Biometric Residence Permits with digital eVisas. BRPs are being phased out, so holders set up a UKVI account and an eVisa that proves their status online. We make sure your digital status is created and correct as part of the file.

  • The qualifying rules for ILR remain, but the May 2025 White Paper sets out significant proposed reforms: a longer settlement period, a shorter sponsorable-occupation list, higher English requirements for workers and their dependants, and a reduced Graduate visa period.
